About Us (In a Nutshell!)

 

Hi! Our names are from Marshall and Yvonne and we are ­­­couple of missionaries who gave our lives to Christ after unusual circumstances leading up to our wedding caused us to embark on a journey to search for the truth about God.

Following our baptisms and marriage in 1993 we felt a strong call, to leave our jobs and devote ourselves to sharing the gospel and we spent the next 5 years travelling around different parts of London, staying with pastors or church members whilst we evangelised in the streets, parks and from door to door.

We lived, fellowshipped and studied with brethren from many denominations, often exploring and seeking to resolve differences in doctrine.

In 1999, we moved to Manchester and secured a base, which meant we could begin to host regular bible studies and fellowship meals, and spend more time deepening our knowledge of other religions for comparative studies and outreach.

Also we were able to invite brethren to stay and share our experience of how to simply set up homely and dynamic faith households.

We want to increase the opportunities of forming strong bonds of friendship with brethren across cities, towns and village who are committed to, or interested in, advancing the Christian faith in a similar way to ourselves.

Our experience over the years of meeting with Christians of different ages, in various circumstances, has made us see a need for linking people who would like to be of mutual benefit to members of their faith family for God’s glory.

So we put together some ideas from the Word of God applied to today’s world – an initiative we call ‘New Life Companions’.

This is a vision of how we Christians can share more of our love and lives with one another in a way that stands out from the world so that they may know we are Christ’s disciples.  (see John 13:34-35)
