What We Believe

Simply Christian Logo 1

  • All mankind are born in sin (see Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:10-12; 5:12) and we cannot redeem ourselves from our corrupt nature (see Romans 7:18-25).

  • God so loved all of us that He gave His only begotten Son, who is Jesus Christ, to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins, through whose death the penitent sinner is reconciled to God (see John 3:16).

  • There is no forgiveness from God to mankind without the offering of the blood of Jesus Christ. (see John 6:53, Acts 4:12, Hebrews 9:14-15)

  • He (Jesus) was raised from death by God and is seated at God’s right hand as the Saviour from sin and Prince of Peace. (See Matthew 17:22-23, Acts 6:30-31).

  • The deposit of the Holy Spirit is the seal of Sonship (see Ephesians 1:13) – The Spirit of Christ Himself, given to all those who have been convicted of their sin, and have accepted their role in Christ’s death (See Isaiah 53:5-6), who want to be cleansed to do God’s will, (see Acts 2:36-40, Romans 8:11; 12:1‑2) and be conformed to be like Him in nature and heavenly culture.

  • A true Christian no longer lives for themself, but for Christ, to serve Him in holiness the rest of their days. (See Luke 1:74-57, 2 Corinthians 5:15-20)

  • Baptism is the outward declaration of the Christian to his neighbour of his inward commitment to this new life in Christ Jesus. (See Romans 6:3-4, 1 Peter 3:21‑22).

We also have a loving responsibility to share, if we have the privilege to meet you, the reasons WHY each of us holds the beliefs we have!  (See John 7:16-18, 1 Peter 3:15).
